OBJECTIVES:
  • To attract a minimum participant of 1500 Scout and Adult leaders
  • To provide the opportunity for Scout and Adult Leaders to experience the ideals and Method of the Scout Movement.
  • To demonstrate to the Guyanese Public and the wider Caribbean Community the camaraderie, uniqueness and objectives of a great youth movement.
  • to give participants a positive experience of belonging to an International Movement.
  • To impliment an interesting, challenging and educational programme of activities (commensurate witht he guidelines for organising a Youth Event as set out by the World Bureau).
  • To promote and strengthen Scouting in Guyana.
  • To organise and manage the Jamboree efficiently, without it being a financial liability to the Association.
PARTICIPANTS: Male and Female Scouts between the ages of 11-17 years from the Caribbean and 11-15 years from Association outside the Caribbean.

Adult Leaders must accompany Scout (1 Adult: 10 Scouts).
Female Leaders must accompany Female Scouts.

Troop size: 50 Scouts and 5 Leaders

COST: Registration fee per Scout/Leader - USD $125 (covers Handbook, Jamboree Badge, Jamboree Scarf, Jamboree T-Shirt, ID Card, Insurance, and Transportation to and from Airport and programmed Jamboree Tours).
PROGRAMME: Simulating social, educational, cultural and spiritual experiences to meet the objectives of the event will be designed and implemented. Events would include onsite and offsite activities.
